Respectful Relationships Group For Men

For men who are ready to make a change in their intimate partnerships.

This Respectful Relationships Group is for men who have identified personal struggles with abusive or disrespectful behaviours and are willing to create meaningful and lasting change in their relationships.

EVERY WEDNESDAY FOR 8 WEEKS: FROM 5:30 PM TO 7:30 PM

START DATE: Fall 2023, TBD

END DATE: TBD

FORMAT: In-person with MAX 10 PARTICIPANTS per group

During this 8 week group program - once weekly for two hours - you will learn how identify the behaviours you want to change while understanding the dynamics of abuse in intimate partner relationships. If you are willing to work hard and consider new ideas; this group provides the opportunity to learn about better communication skills, address the build-up of anger, and appreciate the impact of abusive behaviour on both your partner and children. If you are willing to apply what you’ve learned, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a healthier, more respectful and rewarding relationship.

  • The various types of abuse

  • Healthy communication

  • Impacts of abuse on partner and child(ren)

DETAILS:

$1000 for 8 weeks + Intake and Follow-Up Session

  • The fee for this 8-week group program includes a follow-up session

  • Each participant must first attend an individual intake session, billed at the cost of a regular therapist session of $160

  • This workshop is being led by Chris Martin, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and member of Peachey Counselling and Family Support

  • This workshop will be held in person with a maximum of ten (10) participants

  • If you would prefer to join virtually or want to participate in this group but scheduling issues exist, please contact us directly

  • Please note that this group is not an anger management program, and it does not replace the Partner Abuse Response program. This group is voluntary in nature.
