Let’s see if we’re a good fit…

“You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated.”

MAYA ANGELOU

I think that one of the biggest misconceptions about mental health is that only people diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder need to go to therapy. I think all people can benefit and are deserving of a supportive therapeutic space.

To me, understanding our mental health is the ability to know how we are doing in our daily routines, and notice when there is a change that makes us feel like something is not right. It is our ability to meaningfully respond to the feeling of uncertainty, to make sense of what is happening by recruiting those around us, seeking professional support, and finding a way forward.

I offer a space where you can feel comfortable sharing things that even the closest people in your life may not know. I do not take this element of trust lightly. My goal is to help you to learn new parts of yourself, create a deeper understanding of what has happened to you, and how to integrate those parts to feel whole.

I promise to work collaboratively with you to create a space where you can feel safe, can express anything and everything you feel, and go back into the world knowing you have support when and how you need it.

I’m here for you.

Q&A

  • When I realized it was a job to sit with people, listen to their story, and try to make them feel connected to someone who cares, I knew it was something I would love to do.

  • Many important people in my life have gone through a divorce or separation. I have witnessed how hard this time can be, but also the joy that can come, in time, when supported by those who care. I honour the chance to be there to support you, or your children, in any major life transition, such as a separation.

  • While we will have meaningful conversations about some of you deepest struggles or fears, we may also laugh, a lot.

  • I have an ability to listen to others and empathize with them, while remaining objective.

  • I value client's abilities to reflect on their experiences, show a willingness to continually show up to each session, and have a desire to grow.

  • Giving people the space to talk about anything and everything, and leave that space feeling a bit lighter, means a lot to me.
