Let’s see if we’re a good fit…

The biggest misconception of mental health is that it doesn't exist or that it isn't as important because when it "hurts" it can’t be seen like a broken leg in a cast. But as Registered Nurse, I can tell you that mental health is just as important as physical health and the two impact each other.

I understand and have experienced my own mental health issues including anxiety, PTSD and chronic pain so I can relate to the challenges you are going through.

Whether it be miscommunication within a relationship, to a person suffering from high anxiety, to dealing with difficult life transitions - and everything in-between - anything that impacts a person's overall wellbeing is mental health.

My goal is to help you feel supported, safe and heard. I am willing to find whatever it is you need to help you along on your journey towards a more grounded, stable and enjoyable life.

Mental health, is anything related a person's mental wellbeing.

I’m here for you.

Q&A

  • I became a Registered Nurse after a bad car accident when I was 24. I wanted to help others like those that helped me during that difficult time.

I chose to become a Registered Psychotherapist after COVID occurred. I had to stop working to stay home with my special needs children. It was when I saw the amount of isolation and anxiety occur because of COVID, that I realized I was ready for a change to help those with mental health concerns.

  • Anxiety, panic and PTSD are subject areas important to me because I feel that these subjects can hold back a person from living a full and enjoyable life.

  • Although I'm starting out in this new field of mental health, it is nothing new for me as a nurse. I have almost 20 years of nursing experience in the community. With that experience, I bring patience, compassion and an offbeat sense of humour to the table.

What I do as a therapist helps people feel more grounded, stable and more aware of themselves and how they relate to others.

I am patient, accommodating, non-judgemental and human. I may not know it all but I am willing to find whatever it is you need to help you along throughout your specific journey.

  • Personal qualities like patience, openness, compassionate, accommodating and non-judgemental.

I have had former patients tell me that as a nurse I am kind, patient and always smiling.

  • What I value most in a client is someone who is open to trying something new.

  • Whether it be as a nurse or a therapist, the thing I like most about what I do is when I see a client get better and they have a smile on their face because of my help.
